Equine West Nile virus cases almost triple in past month (via DVM360)

DVM News Magazine reports U.S. Geological Survey disease maps show the number of equine West Nile virus cases in the U.S. increased to over 500 in the past month. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) released a similar report in early October showing that the mosquito-borne virus is a much greater problem this year.
